The importance of traditional media for developmental communication in the rural areas has been realised the world over. The Institute conducts courses in rural communications, produces software for the use of developmental communication and extension education. It also conducts campaigns to promote conservation of the environment in rural areas and to give various messages to people through puppets, folk dances and songs. DAILY SHOW In order to acquaint more and more Indian & Foreign tourists with the traditional folk dances and the art of puppetry, regular cultural performances are presented from 12.00 to 1 p.m., and 6.00 to 7.00 p.m., at our Govind puppet Theatre."
