Our Directorate has been publishing books on History and Historical research material from time to time. So far 51 publication has been published by Archives Department. These books are valuable for teachers as well as for student of Indian History. Rajasthan, through the ages, is one of the best publication of the archives. part I of this book was written by, Dr. Dashrath Sharma (earliest time to 1316-A.D.)a well known Historian of Rajasthan, part II was written by Dr. Gopinath Sharma (from 1300 to 1761 A.D.) and part III was written by M.S. Jain (from 1761-1949 A.D.). A project of translating persian documents was also started in 2010. Under this programme persian farmans were translated into Hindi and Devnagri. In 2010 "Farsi Farmano ke Prakash me Mughal kalin bharat evam Rajput shashak Vol-I" was published. It's contents were 80 persian farmans which were written by mughal emperor Jhangir and Shahjahan to mirza Raja jai singh of jaipur.
Translation of 82 parsian farmans were published in Vol-II of "Farsi Farmano ke Prakash me Mughal kalin bharat evam Rajput shashak" and part III in which 117 Nishans and manshurs are included, is going to be published in 2013-14. On the basis of freedom fighters view Department has published a books series named "Rajasthan Swadinta sangram ka sakshi". It's 6 Volumes are published and 7th in process of publication. These books are related with the freedom fighters of Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Bhartpur, Ajmer and Kota Division.
